6th June 2018

It’s been another busy month here at SYMT, we’ve been out around the diocese doing ministry, visiting parishes, planning upcoming events and of course enjoying the glorious sunshine May brought!

Forming Missionary Parishes

One of the highlights of May was being able to join many others at a conference day with Mrs Sherry Weddell, author of Forming Intentional Disciples; we were able to gain a deeper insight into how to reach out to those we work with.

Explore: Revival, Praying for the Holy Spirit across the Diocese!

This last month we celebrated the great feast of Pentecost. On the day itself we joined the wonderful young people from the parishes in Cheadle for their confirmation retreat. We also held Explore:Revival events at various parishes: Knutsford, Frodsham, Hale Barns and Macclesfield. Thank you to everyone who made time to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit with us, and help us to eat all those doughnuts!

The Big Church Day Out!

Sophie & Dave attended the Big Church Day Out. Around 10,000 Christians gathered at Capesthorne Hall to ‘celebrate all that is good’. Music and worship was led by artists such as Hillsong, Kari Jobe, House Fires & Matt Redman (among many!).  On the Saturday Bishop Mark was able to celebrate Holy Mass for us, it certainly was a special moment in the midst of a busy festival weekend.

We look forward to everything June has to bring!
